The Base, XLT and Limited trims come with a turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Drivers who get the King Ranch, Platinum and ST trims will enjoy 400 horsepower courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard across the 2024 Ford Explorer lineup to smoothen gear shifts for improved performance. A rear-wheel-drive system is standard, but drivers can get the optional all-wheel drive for more grip and stability.
The standard Terrain Management System has up to seven drive modes to help you tackle any adventure.
